Erik Britton and Andrew Brigden lead our team of macroeconomists and strategist. Formed of best-in-class analysts with experience at both policymaking and practitioner level, we offer well-informed, independent economic consultancy with a sound track record for accuracy.
Areas of expertise
Our consultancy services include: scenario analysis, forecasting and impact assessment, strategic asset allocation, stress testing, ground-breaking research, and policy evaluation. As well as providing global economic and financial markets analysis, Fathom’s team of economic consultants have particular expertise in areas including Pensions, Property, Investment Advice, Politics, Banking and Finance, and Recycling Economics.
Fathom offers consultations on a one-to-one basis, tailored to the needs of our clients. Our advice is always jargon-free – offering value not volume. We use rigorous technical know-how supported by our suite of proprietary in-house econometric applications to deliver intelligent, flexible solutions. Our core strength lies in making connections between macroeconomics, the financial markets, economic policy and asset allocation.
Prior to joining Fathom Consulting, Erik Britton was a director at a leading macroeconomic forecasting consultancy.
There he led major consultancy projects for blue-chip industrial firms, financial services and government in the UK, Europe and the US. Previously, Erik Britton worked at the Bank of England, where he spent five years in the Monetary Analysis Division running the Bank’s UK macroeconomic model, co-coordinating its international forecast and managing a team of economists responsible for analysing corporate sector economics.
We are always on the lookout for economists with top-flight academic training and an excellent understanding of the relationship between the macro economy and financial markets.
