Brian Davidson

Director, Macroeconomic Forecasting and Energy

Brian joined Fathom Consulting in 2016 as the firm’s US economist. He is now a Partner and recently assumed the role as Director of Macroeconomic Forecasting in which he is working to expand the pool of clients for Fathom’s economic forecasting and scenario-building services. Brian has extensive experience working with clients from the public and private sectors and running large consultancy projects to ensure delivery of world-class products and services.

Brian also leads Fathom’s energy and climate-related work and continues to work with clients in the aerospace sector and those interested in the geopolitics of the energy transition. Brian has expertise in building and managing large datasets, models and tools, including macroeconomic forecasting models and Fathom’s Energy Transition Scores, a best-in-class dataset used to identify the winners and losers from the energy transition.

Prior to Fathom, Brian worked for a decade in financial markets, including economic analysis, financial model development, investment strategy, credit and equity research. His employers included Moody’s and The National Investor. He has also written for the Financial Times. Now London-based, he has worked in Africa, South America and the Middle East. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and holds an MSc Finance from Birkbeck College, University of London.
